Horton Vineyards Cabernet Franc
Dennis Horton was the first in Virginia to use Tannat in his Cabernet Franc. He found that most Cabernets in Virginia needed color and tannic structure. It is a bit of spicy oak. Smooth, dark plum flavors with a black pepper finish. Paired with grilled portobello mushroom burger, porterhouse steak, thick ribeye or chocolate goats cheese topped with raspberries.
